Dave & 'Dine
Thank you for visiting our blog!
Here’s a little bit about us: We met at a Waikiki wine dinner where we discovered a mutual love of food, wine & travel. We decided to channel that love into Food Trippin’, a celebration of authentic eats, experiences and people.
Our blog will feature stories on everything from sit-down restaurants and street food to marketplace fare and family traditions – both in our home of Hawai‘i and beyond. Wherever we are, we will try to live, work and play as locals do and in the process, take you on a journey into the heart of the city’s regional cuisine, its culture and its people.
We hope that you enjoy what we bring to the table.
Aloha!
David & Nadine
I look forward to your travels in Italia.
I will be traveling there in September and your experiences will be a great reference for me.
Ciao!
Nadine and Dave. Hope you are having a great time in Italia. Looking forward to your first blog post from Italy.
Hi guys, just wanted to drop by and say hi. It was lovely with you this evening at vino roma and I wish you the best of experiences in Greve, Firenze and Cinque Terre! I guess I will read about them here.
Ciao!
PS: Don’t forget to try some porchetta while still in Rome!
Hey Nadine,
Hope all is well there. Heard about the big quake and hope you guys were up north a way from it. Are they giving away free vino because it it?
Send pics… I want to see the Tuscan country side again….. remember to picnic with caution… the Monster of Siena is still lurking there. No worries though, just enjoy you guys.

I “discovered” Il Frigiderium and Gelato del Teatro last year when I was visiting. I was a confirmed addict to San Crispino before, now I NEED all three. San Crispino opened another location by La Maddalena last summer so if you can’t deal with Giolitti, there’s a place to make you happy. I’ve been going to Antonio al Pantheon for years particularly for their fior di Zucca Ymmmmmm
